I’m from Honduras in Central America. I was a student at the Texas Intensive English Program in the business program. This was a great opportunity for me to meet people in the business field from around the world and Austin. I learned cultural aspects of doing business around the world as well as in the United States. In Austin I could meet friendly native American speakers of English. Austin is a safe city that you can walk around at most hours. The landscape of Austin is very green and the parks are found everywhere. I am hoping to come back to Austin to continue my studies.
T.I.E.P. means This Is an Excellent Program.

Thanks to my year of studies at TIEP and the help of its instructors and staff members, I'm moving across the United States from Austin, Texas to Corvallis, Oregon where I will begin my undergraduate degree at Oregon State University next semester.

I'll miss many things like new friends, teachers, and school. But I'm so happy because I learned many things: grammar, vocabulary, idioms, etc.
-Simone Reitao, Brazil
...I’d like to seize this opportunity to say thank you for my classmates, teachers and schoolmates for even unwittingly showing me how possible and nice it is to live together with differences and, over all, how beautiful this world is. Thank you!

After spending 3, 4, and 5 weeks in TIEP. I realized something different. All the teachers are more than your friend.
-Salim Al-Mandhari, Oman
I lacked the ability to communicate well in English, so I came here to study at TIEP... Now I’m getting ready to go back to my home country where I will finish my university degree... I’m planning to come back to a graduate school here in the United States to study microbiology.
-Myeongwon (Brighton) Kim, Korea
I was a TIEP student in the Fall '93 and Spring of '94. I barely spoke any English when I started the program. But by the time I left TIEP I was well prepared to attend college (Economics and MBA) and pursue my successful professional career.
-Heidi Gil, Venezuela
If you are an international student who wants to study in an American university, I suggest you to come to study at TIEP. You can lay a solid foundation in English and make a lot of friends from different parts of the world.
-Yuan Xue, China
Before I came to TIEP, I hadn't studied at an English school. In my memory Austin is a wonderful place. I am glad to come here and happy to meet all of my friends in TIEP.

Now, today, I have achieved all three [of my] dreams. I have finished Level 160A and Level 160B with an “A” each time. I am the speaker at this ceremony, and I was accepted for a master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut which I’m starting next month.
