First of all, I congratulate all the staff because they did a very good job. The first day I was confused, and I didn’t understand anything. You helped me to figure out many things. I know now that my English is good, and I improved it a lot. I advise all other students who want to improve their English to come to TIEP because it is very exciting. It’s very interesting because you find many nationalities and can add to your general culture. Austin is a very nice place to live, and I plan to come back to Austin one day.
...I would like to thank our teachers for unselfishly sharing your time, talent and knowledge with us. You really put in the effort to make lessons more interesting to us so we wouldn't just tune out. And you demanded excellence from us. And I would like to give a big thanks for our lovely advisor, the queen Victoria, we call her like that, who helped us with everything, not only with school issues, but even with our problems that we face outside school.
-Sulaiman Alghaith, Saudi Arabia
TIEP has been a great place for me. Even though I only stayed here for a semester and a half, but what I learned, done, and experienced in TIEP was great.
-Nizar Al Raisi, Oman
After one semester in level 138 and half a semester in 158, my TOEFL score was 633! I'm positive that TIEP is one of the BEST schools for ESL in America!
-Lucila Barbosa, Brazil
If university teaches you what is true in our world, TIEP teaches you how to live in the world. Studying so many different ideas from different countries in a classroom at TIEP is such a precious opportunity.
-Xing Wei (Wilson), China
I got a good education at TIEP. It has many good teachers and a good educational teaching style.
-Masayuki Akaishi, Japan
I lacked the ability to communicate well in English, so I came here to study at TIEP... Now I’m getting ready to go back to my home country where I will finish my university degree... I’m planning to come back to a graduate school here in the United States to study microbiology.
-Myeongwon (Brighton) Kim, Korea
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” Who knows the name of the person who said it? It’s Lao Tzu, a very famous Chinese philosopher. This proverb is very important to me not because I can trace it back to my own first steps, but because I can remember the great times we had while I was taking these steps.
-Ali Mohammed Baqer, Oman
I've received acceptances from Cornell University, the University of Washington, and the University of Iowa, and I'm planning to go to the University of Washington to pursue a PhD in bio-mechanical engineering. In the foundation of my success, there was my education here at TIEP.
-Hwan Choi, Korea
...at TIEP I could get self confidence. Of course, I still make mistakes, but I'm not afraid anymore. I learned "Don't be shy."
-Gun Bae Park, Korea
The teachers and advisers here have a wealth of experience and were able to help me with every single problem I had... It was surely their kind of highly praised words that helped me get into many good universities.
