Evening Program

TIEP’s Evening Program offers an English Conversation and Pronunciation course to meet the needs and schedules of international professionals and others who want to improve their spoken English-language skills for professional development or personal enrichment. The course meets for two hours two evenings per week for seven weeks. 

Conversation & Pronunciation Skills

High-Intermediate to Advanced English Proficiency
7 weeks, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Tuesdays & Thursdays


A 28-hour course for international professionals and others who want to improve their pronunciation and conversational English.

Course goals are to improve fluency and speaking competence by practicing the vocabulary, expressions, and grammatical forms needed for everyday communication, both at work and in daily life.

Pronunciation instruction includes vowel and consonant sounds, rhythm, stress, and intonation.

Skills related to public speaking are included in the course.

This course will help you gain confidence in your English and to communicate more effectively and fluently as a public speaker and in everyday conversation.

Certificates of Completion will be awarded to students who maintain 90% or better attendance, participate in classes, and complete class assignments.

In addition to current evening course offerings, additional evening courses (other subjects, levels and schedules) can be developed and conducted at TIEP or at work places, if a group of participants is formed. Individual tutoring can also be arranged.

  • Experienced, professionally-trained instructors who have M.A. or Ph.D. degrees in Teaching English as a Second Language or related fields
  • Specialized curriculum to meet the language needs and interests of each class
  • Small, multinational classes with other adults (5 – 15 students per class)
